EtsyHooker of the Week --- Crochetgal

Antique Lace Pineapple Shawl

Crochetgal (aka Valerie) has some stunning shawls. When she photographs them like the one above, it makes me think of getting ready to take flight.

Marie, of NorthAutumnCrafts, nominated Valerie with the following comments:

Since I have joined the hookers and become acquainted with everyone Valerie has really stood out.

Valerie has an amazing talent for crochet and i love the variety in her shawls and ponchos.

She has helped me out with problems relating to Etsy and Crochet on numerous occasions and I know she has also helped several other team members. It never seems too much trouble for her and she is always so kind and friendly.

One of Crochetgal's yarn deals

Valerie is very active with the team and has even started supplying yarn for all us yarn addicts at extremely good prices.

I think Valerie deserves EtsyHooker of the Week because she is a top notch member of our team every single day and it is a pleasure to know her.

Fisherman Sweater

Crochetgal also has this incredible sweater in her shop. In her listing she mentions that she is available to do custom sweaters similar to this one for all ages as well as men and women. This is the kind of sweater that can be passed down to future generations.

EtsyHooker Profile ---- Jaybird Designs

I met Jennifer a while back on another crochet board and was just stunned by her designing talent. I remember how open and sharing she was with information and advise and it's because of her that I joined etsy. I wasn't at all surprised when she announced that she was going to be published because for anyone who's visited her shop, you can't help falling in love with the clean lines and unique color combinations that seem to jump off the page.

Of the 21 items listed, 11 are patterns which are sure to provide you with a unique custom item for those of you who choose to make it yourself. One of my favorite patterns is the "Girl's Triangle Summer Halter and Hat". Just darling!

This roll-brimmed hat is another example of Jennifer's designing skills and creativity:

You'll find purses, shawls, baby items, yarn and a category Jennifer calls, "everything else". :)

This black beaded shawl is sooooo pretty and would add just the right amount of flair to that little whatever color dress you need to spice up!

Jennifer has been designing patterns for a year now and has been published in Crochet Today and Crochet World magazines. You can see more of her unique style at www.jaybird-designs.com or on her flickr account.

I'm sure that Grand Junction, CO is proud of you, Jennifer. And I'm proud to call you a friend!
