EtsyHooker of the Week --- Bags And More By Pam

Queen Anne Lace Scarf

One of our most faithful and helpful team members is Pam of Bags and More by Pam. She was nominated by Nora, who had this to say:
Pam is always there to help with whatever needs to be done for our team. Not only does she have lovely items in her shop, she takes the time to create beautiful treasuries that include our hookers. Since we have been calling for volunteers, Pam has volunteered to do our weekly promo thread more times than any other member. What great team spirit. I am so proud she is a "Hooker".

Girls White Beanie

Pam's shop is filled with lots of lovely items for people and animals of all ages, including the red scarf and white beanie above.

Tiny Dog Sweater in Blues

You can also find some lovely items for warm weather in Pam's shop. She has some cute halter tops for young ones as well as several bags that would be perfect nearly any time of the year.

EtsyHooker of the Week --- Gray Overcast Creations

Assorted Spiral Coasters - Set of 4 (6 color varieties)

D, of Gray Overcast Creations, has been a busy new member to our EtsyHooker team. She has entered our latest creative challenge as well as take charge of having our team join Twitter. We are very excited to have a member willing to jump in and be active right away, so we are happy to share her talents and items in her shop this week as EtsyHooker of the Week.

12 oz. Tall Vertical Striped Can Cozy

Gray Overcast Creations has several interesting items for you and your home. I especially like the nifty coasters. They are a set, but you get a variety of looks in the set. She also has some cute beverage cozies that would be nice on both warm and cool days and help you avoid losing your beverage in a crowd.

The Smiley Scarf

D. also has a select few incredible scarves in her shop right now. This Smiley Scarf must have been very time consuming with all of the color changes involved in making those faces in the scarf. It would definitely bring a smile to the day of the person who wore it and those around him or her.

EtsyHooker of the Week --- fray

Blooming Vine Scarf in Variegated Orange

Nominated by NoraDora, our new EtsyHooker of the Week seems to find herself on the front page of Etsy on occasion. We can all see why when we check out her shop. Fray's shop is filled with goodies to warm you up in a fashionable way.

NoraDora had this to share about fray:

Her shop has some of the most beautiful and unique scarves that are available on Etsy. One of my favorites is the Blooming Vine Scarf which comes in a multitude of colors. I don't know if her scarves are made from a pattern or if she just picks up the hook and yarn and creates them on a whim. We are lucky to have such a talented person as a member of our team. You can see she is a dedicated team player as her shop name comes up in many forum posts and promotions.

Gnarled Scarf in Merlot-One of A Kind

And look at this OOAK above. When you visit her shop you see that she has scarves in wool and wool blends, acrylic and cotton. Such talent...I am proud to nominate Fray as Etsy Hooker of the Week!

Thick 'n Sketchy Scarf in Spice

Another of fray's popular styles is the Thick 'n Sketchy Scarf, like this rich one. There are various colors and materials used for each of these lovely creations. So, if you really love wool, you are set. However, if you are allergic to wool (like me), fray also makes her incredible items in other fibers, like cottons and acrylics.

EtsyHooker of the Week --- AStitchtoWear

La Parisienne cap-Azalea

This EtsyHooker of the Week may be quite surprised when she gets home on Monday from a long weekend to find herself honored on the team blog. Fellow team member Rebecca (otherwise known as adorkable1) nominated AStitchtoWear with the following words:

her shop looks awesome, her photos are great, and her items are really well crafted :)

Zig scarf-Two Teal

AStitchtoWear's shop is filled with stylish hats for both men and women, as well as warm and fun neckwear and a few summery wraps. Her photos highlight the items being worn by models who have on neutral outfits so the items shine on their own with no distractions.

Best Friend Beanie-Gray Blue and Brown

The Best Friend Beanie is a unisex hat that will certainly keep your head warm on a cold, windy day. This is the kind of crochet that most guys would be willing to wear.

EtsyHooker of the Week --- RedBerryCrochet

Julie's scarf pattern has been published in Crochet World

Our hard working team leader is a great example to the team. She works very hard for the team, keeping up with lots of administrative type things that most of us never even know about. She has a shop that is an excellent example of great photography, beautiful items, and variety without seeming scattered. She also has a few items in her shop that her fellow crocheters might like to own, like her lovely stitch markers and patterns. She was nominated for this honor by NoraDora.

Paperback book cover

If you look through RedBerryCrochet's shop, you will discover a few bits of information about her by the items she sells. For example, she sells book covers. That gives us the hint that she must like books. In fact, one of her other jobs is working in a library.

Cat Toy Mice

Another section of RedBerry's shop lets you know that she must love her pets. She has pet blankets as well as cat toys. Her cat toys even have her cat as an adorable model.

Crochet Folk Art Patterns

Two sections of RedBerry's shop are dedicated to those of us who also love to crochet, as she does. She has stitch markers available that she created when she could not find ones that she liked herself. I have a set that I use often that I purchased from her. She also has several patterns available, including the folk art patterns above as well as a rug, cat toys, baskets, and a fried egg potholder.

EtsyHooker of the Week --- CFMF Crochet (aka ssnjade)

CFMF Crochet puts me in a Halloween mood, so I will share the lovely items in ssnjade's shop that would be perfect for Halloween, like the adorable hat that any kid would love to wear for Halloween or just about anytime.

Something about this Slasher Scarflette reminds me of the television show, Heroes. It would make a cute and quick costume for an unexpected costume party.

If you are not in a Halloween mood, CFMF Crochet also has some other lovely items. I really like the colors and the idea of making a lei from crocheted flowers.

EtsyHooker of the Week --- Crochet Creations by Cowgirlcrysi

Cowgirlcrysi is an active member of our team who has shared one of her patterns for Pattern of the Month. She offers a variety of items in her shop, including the above hat and scarf set in a favorite color of many girls.

This scarf is another that would be a hit in my family. It looks fuzzy and warm.

Even though I have made soap savers before, I never would have thought of suggesting it be hung outside for hand washing after gardening. What a great idea!

Cowgirlcrysi also has afghans, bags, hair accessories, and more in her shop.

A Hello from CaperChris

Since this is my first post for the Etsy Hookers blog, I thought I'd introduce myself and my shop. I'm Christina, the owner of CaperChris Creations. I'm a stay-at-home Mom who loves to craft. I've tried just about anything I could get my hands on: knitting, sewing, scrapbooking, cross-stitch and, of course, crochet. My shop has, at this point in time, crocheted and sewn items. I might add other items, depending on what inspires me.

Inspiration. It's a tricky thing. You never know when the mood to create something different will strike and sometimes I wonder if it will ever strike again. I am most often inspired by nature and am lucky enough to live in a place famous for natural beauty: Nova Scotia, Canada (if you have no idea where that is, see my map :) ). My scarf, Sailor's Delight, has all the colours of a sunset over the Bras D'Or Lakes in summer. We have soak up as much of summer as we can around here, they aren't long. I have other ideas kicking around in my head based on things I've seen out walking or hiking. I just need more hours in a day to create.

My daughter is another source of inspiration. Children have such imaginations; you never know what's going to come out of their mouths. Bunny Foo-Foo and the Goon is based on a song my daughter sang around the house. I wondered what Bunny Foo-Foo would look like, so set out to create her.

I'm an obsessed reader. Other than crafting, my spare time is spent reading. Historical fiction and classic literature are my favorites. Sometimes a character inspires me to create an object and sometimes the object reminds me of a character. While making a choker, I thought, "I can see Anna Karenina wearing this" and so I named it for her.

I'm amazed at the talent on Etsy and can spend hours just poking around in other shops. A colour, a technique, etc, can spark my imagination. Just looking at other artists and admiring what they do helps me to create. I especially love prints and ephemera.

So, what inspires you?
